Students complete 220 hours of work integrated learning, comprising a 180-hour community-based placement with a health organisation and a 40-hour community engagement project. All placements are supported by CDU placement teams and a health academic. Students must meet mandatory pre-placement requirements, including a national and/or international police check, a current Working with Children check, a Fitness to Practice statement, and a current immunisation schedule.
Students who graduate from the Bachelor of Health Services Management are eligible to apply for individual membership with the Australasian College of Health Service Management and the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA).

There is a range of flexible delivery options including online units, face-to-face tutorials, and for those balancing life, work and family responsibilities, the option to study the degree 100% online. The course is available both at the Casuarina campus and fully online, with intakes in Semester 1 and Semester 2.
The annual tuition fee for full-time study in 2026 is AUD $31,208.00, which equates to $3,901.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL). These fees are subject to annual increases effective at the start of each calendar year. CDU also offers a number of scholarships to assist international students with the cost of study.
Yes. Credit transfer arrangements are available to students commencing with completed Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree qualifications in the same field or discipline, subject to meeting criteria. Credit transfer is also available for students with complete or incomplete study at this or other institutions at the higher education level. Students should refer to CDU's Credit Transfer and Pathways and Advanced Standing pages for further information.
