Yes. All students undertaking the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management will complete 80 hours of professional practice (SBL3800 Professional Practice) where they engage with industry and/or community partner(s) to practically apply their discipline learning. Examples of professional practice could be an internship, a client-based project, consultancy, service learning, simulated practice, competition, or combination thereof. Students are responsible for sourcing their own professional practice opportunity with support from the work-integrated learning team.
For domestic students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $17,400 (Commonwealth supported). For international students, the estimated first year indicative fee is AUD $38,600.
The course is available at ECU City Campus (full-time and part-time, Semesters 1 and 2) and Online (full-time and part-time, Semesters 1 and 2). For international students, City Campus is available full-time in Semesters 1 and 2, and Online is available full-time and part-time in both semesters.
The indicative ATAR for this course is 70. Academic admission requirements (Band 3) apply. Requirements may also be satisfied through completion of an AQF Cert IV, an Undergraduate Certificate, a University Preparation Course, or other pathways listed by ECU. English language requirements include an IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 with no individual band less than 6.0, or equivalent qualifications.
