Yes. Graduates of the Bachelor of Human Nutrition are eligible for registration as an Associate Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia.
Yes. The course prepares students for entry into graduate courses in allied health areas, including dietetics and nutrition, sports dietetics, physiotherapy and pharmacy. Students who want to register with the Nutrition Society of Australia and/or apply for postgraduate studies in dietetics are recommended to complete the Specialist Major in Nutrition Practice.
Yes. A Working With Vulnerable People check is required for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements. Some placements also require a police check and an up-to-date vaccination status.
For ACT applicants, assumed knowledge includes Chemistry and Mathematical Methods majors. For NSW applicants, assumed knowledge includes Chemistry and Mathematics.
Yes. Credit transfer arrangements are available for students with work experience (equivalent to Graduate Status / Work Experience / Veteran Tertiary Support Program, 24 credit points), any Australian Certificate IV (AQF4, 12 credit points), any Australian Diploma (AQF5) or Advanced Diploma (AQF6, 24 credit points), and the University of Canberra College Diploma of Health.
