Common Questions
Yes, the Bachelor of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) and recognised by the Seoul Accord, providing graduates with internationally recognised professional standing.
To fulfil the requirements of the award, students must complete a total of 240 credit points or 24 units. Each unit is 10 credit points, except BUS307 Work Integrated Learning, which is a 20-credit-point unit.
International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate an IELTS overall test result of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5) or an equivalent result in TOEFL or PTE. Other acceptable evidence includes completion of secondary education or an undergraduate degree via the medium of English, or successful completion of Year 12 schooling in Australia (minimum of 1 school year within the last 2 years). Students who do not meet these requirements may undertake an ELICOS program prior to commencing the course.
CIHE uses a range of assessment tasks including quizzes, group work, case-studies and scenario-based activities, reports and exams. Assessment tasks are designed to be work-oriented, mimicking real-world processes involved in business so that graduates are ready to start their careers as active independent professionals.
Yes, students have the option to complete BUS307 Work-Integrated Learning (Internship) as an elective. This unit is worth 20 credit points and requires a pre-requisite of 120 credit points completed. It can be taken in Semester 6 as one of the elective options.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
