Common Questions
Students are required to undertake a compulsory paid industry placement unit (COIT13238), which should be taken in the last term of study. Industry placements are typically of three months duration, and students will normally undertake the placement following the successful completion of two years (4 terms) of study. The placement is an opportunity to earn while you learn, put theory into practice, and develop industry networks.
Students can choose from three majors: Application Development, Business Analysis, and Cyber Security. Each major consists of seven units and all three are accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS) at the professional level.
Yes, you will have the flexibility to exit the degree early after completing a number of units and graduate with an Associate Degree of Information Technology or a Diploma of Information and Communications Technology.
To be eligible, you must have a minimum ATAR or Selection Rank of 84.00, a prerequisite of English (Units 3 and 4, C) or equivalent, and meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. You will also need to meet Inherent Requirements throughout your studies.
You must complete 23 units (144 credits) in total: 8 core units, one seven-unit major (Application Development, Business Analysis, or Cyber Security), one four-unit minor, and four elective units. At least one of your elective units must be a Level 3 unit.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
