The degree includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program built into the qualification, requiring a minimum of 600 hours of industry experience plus 180 hours of self-study, spread across two trimesters (WIL201A and WIL301A). ICMS consultants work with students to secure a suitable placement that is the best fit for their unique skills, interests, and professional goals.
The degree comprises 26 subjects in total: 12 core IT subjects, 8 IT specified elective subjects, 4 general elective subjects, and 2 Work Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects.
The Bachelor of Information Technology (Cyber Security) can be completed in 3 years on a full-time study load, 6 years on a part-time study load, or in an accelerated duration of 2.3 years (8 trimesters).
