Yes, the BIT (Cybersecurity) course structure and content have been meticulously aligned with the accreditation requirements of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), ensuring graduates are prepared for recognised ICT roles as per the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO).
A variety of assessment configurations and tasks are utilised, including class tests, computer lab projects, research and report writing, and group and individual tasks. Each unit also has an early assessment task in weeks 3, 4, or 5 to identify students at risk and provide appropriate support.
Yes, prospective or enrolled MIHE students can apply for Credit or RPL in writing by providing certified copies of academic transcripts, records of achievement, statements of results, testamur or other relevant evidence, an explanation of results, an extract from the relevant handbook, and a unit syllabus including assessment requirements. Any credit or RPL awarded is subject to MIHE Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedure and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
International students whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following: IELTS (Academic) overall 6.0 with no band less than 6; TOEFL Paper Based Test 500 (min. 4.5 TWE); PTE 50 with no band less than 50; or Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) Level B2 (169) with no skill score less than 169. Students who do not meet these requirements may enrol in an ELICOS program before commencing the course.
