Bachelor of Information Technology/Bachelor of Business Administration

The Bachelor of Information Technology/Bachelor of Business Administration, which ACU abbreviates as BInfoTech/BBA, is a dual award of 320 credit points with a minimum duration of four years full-time or the equivalent part-time. ACU's 2025 handbook lists Melbourne and North Sydney as the approved locations and records that the course is not offered at Melbourne in 2025. To qualify for both degrees a student completes 300 credit points of specified study together with 20 credit points of Core Curriculum units. The specified study is made up of 100 credit points of business specified units, 160 credit points of information technology specified units, a 10 credit point community engagement unit, and 30 credit points drawn either from the Schedule of Unit Offerings for any other bachelor degree course or from information technology electives. Units listed in the schedule include BUSN104 Money Matters, BUSN112 Managing Markets, BUSN113 Managing People and Organisations, BAFN200 Principles of Finance, BUSN304 Working with Diversity and Conflict, ECON200 Economics: Policy Frameworks and Markets, ENTR301 Managing Entrepreneurship and Innovation, HRMG204 Organisational Behaviour, MGMT304 Strategic Management, MKTG207 Marketing Toolkit, BIPX301 Professional Experience and ITEC100 Information Technology in Action. In all aspects of progress through the course students are advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee. ACU notes that a unit can only be classified as an advanced unit if it has more than one prerequisite in hierarchy, and that Australian Computer Society accreditation requires at least four advanced units.
