Yes. UNSW's Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) is recognised by the Interior Designer/Interior Architecture Educators Association and the International Federation of Interior Architects (IFI). Graduates are also eligible for membership with the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI).
Yes. You have the option to progress into the Master of Architecture after completing the Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours). The program structure includes a specific pathway for this, with third and fourth year study plans that incorporate Bachelor of Architectural Studies design studio and core courses to facilitate the transition.
You can choose an optional minor of 24 UOC in one of the following areas: Computational Design, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or Landscape Architecture. You can also deepen your expertise through a self-directed project.
For domestic students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $9,500 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $40,000. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $51,000 and the indicative full fee to complete the degree is $222,500.
The Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) consists of 192 units of credit (UOC) in total, made up of 168 UOC of core courses, an optional minor of 24 UOC, 24 UOC of Built Environment electives, 12 UOC of free electives, and 12 UOC of General Education. It can be completed in 4 years with full-time study or 6–8 years with part-time study, and is taught through a combination of theoretical and practical study as well as Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and professional placements.
