Bachelor of International Studies with Honours

To qualify for the award, a candidate must pass a single unit to the value of 48 credit points (HASS400H) comprising an advanced coursework component and a dissertation component in the relevant subject area. Candidates are also required to consult regularly with their supervisor(s), with the nature and extent of such consultation determined prior to commencement of each year of candidature.

Yes, the course is available both online and on-campus at the Armidale Campus. Most students choose to study online across three study periods with 24/7 tutor support, fitting study around work and family commitments.

Estimated fees for the first year of study are $17,376 for Commonwealth Supported Place students and $30,480 for international students. These figures cover full-time tuition for two full-time trimesters and do not include other expenses such as textbooks, accommodation, and living expenses.

The following documents are required to support your application: a certified academic transcript of your completed qualification; a completed Honours Application form (which must be included in your online application); a research proposal (see the Honours application form for instructions); and proof of identity and citizenship such as a certified/notarised copy of the photo page of your passport or another form of official photo identification.

If you are admitted into this course and believe you have already completed the equivalent of one or more units in the Course Structure within the last ten years, you can apply for Individual Unit Advanced Standing. However, please note that Advanced Standing cannot be granted for the dissertation component of this course.
