Common Questions
You can apply for undergraduate courses at UTS either through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) or directly to UTS. If applying through UAC, you will receive an offer via email from UAC if successful. If applying directly, you can accept your offer through My Student Portal. Some applicants may also be eligible through alternative pathways such as STAT, TAFE/VET qualifications, or equity programs like U@Uni and Jumbunna.
Yes, UTS offers a range of alternative entry pathways. These include the STAT (Skills for Tertiary Admission Test), TAFE or VET qualifications such as an AQF diploma or advanced diploma, equity pathways like the Jumbunna Admissions Program for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students, and the U@Uni Academy for students from specific partner schools. UTS College is also an option if you don't qualify for direct entry, as completing a UTS College qualification can fast-track your entry into the corresponding UTS degree.
UTS is located in the heart of Sydney's Tech Central precinct, surrounded by over 3,000 creative industries and close to the CBD, Darling Harbour, and beaches. The university has students from over 180 different nationalities, offering a vibrant and multicultural environment. UTS emphasises practice-based learning developed in partnership with industry leaders, and 93.3% of graduates are employed within three years of graduation, reflecting strong career readiness.
Domestic students may be able to defer their offer depending on the course's requirements; further information is available through the UTS deferral process for domestic students. International students should refer to the international student deferral process. Note that scholarship offers cannot be deferred — students are welcome to re-apply for a scholarship in a future round.
UTS offers one of Australia's most generous scholarship programs. Scholarships are managed by UTS Scholarships, and in some cases by individual faculties or UTS International. Payments are made via Electronic Funds Transfer to a nominated Australian bank account, or directly to your student fee account for tuition fee scholarships. Recipients must meet ongoing eligibility criteria including academic progress, enrolment status, and course requirements as outlined in the Conditions of Award.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
