About This Course

This double degree will prepare you for legal practice while giving you specialised knowledge in digital and social media, international relations or journalism. You can gain an understanding of politics, cultures and societies, organisations and policymaking, the impact of digital technologies, and the issues that concern our region and the world. You'll also gain practical skills specific to your chosen major, such as critical analysis, problem-solving, strategic and ethical leadership, and advanced communication skills and strategies. You can choose from a range of Arts majors. Digital and Social Media: Develop advanced skills in creating, maintaining and managing online communications for personal and commercial interactions. International Relations: Increase your understanding of international diplomacy, politics and organisations. Journalism: Learn how to report on topics across radio, video and online platforms.

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Guaranteed ATAR/Selection Rank: 90
No prerequisite subjects (essential or desirable)
English language requirement: IELTS Academic with an overall band score of 6.5, with Writing 6, Speaking 6, Reading 6, and Listening 6
Curtin course switcher: minimum ATAR of 90, or 8+ undergraduate units with a CWA of 70% or above
Higher education course switcher: minimum ATAR of 90, or 8+ undergraduate units with a CWA of 70% or above
Graduate entry course switcher: completed bachelor degree with CWA of 65% or above, or completed master degree with CWA of 70% or above
STAT pathway: must achieve the required ATAR equivalence; STAT Written English and either Multiple Choice Verbal or Quantitative will be assessed
VET/TAFE qualifications: not accepted — VET studies cannot meet the equivalent ATAR requirement
If entry requirements are not met, bridging or enabling pathways may be available
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants aged 17 or older may be eligible for an Indigenous enabling course
