Yes. If you successfully complete the Bachelor of Laws Honours, you may be eligible for admission to a PhD program, making this course a recognised pathway into doctoral research.
During the course, you will undertake a substantial legal research project in an area relevant to your career. With the support of CDU's academic staff and your research supervisor, you will be encouraged to produce quality research and develop your project to a publishable level, culminating in a substantial honours thesis.

Yes. The course is recognised by the Legal Profession Admission Board in the Northern Territory, and is classified at Level 8 on the Australian Qualifications Framework.
Full-time students complete the course in one year, undertaking core units LWZ401 and LWZ402, two specialist electives, and the 40-credit-point thesis unit LWZ711 across two semesters. Part-time students complete the course over two years, spreading the thesis across two units — LWZ712 (20cp) in Year 2, Semester 1, and LWZ713 (20cp) in Year 2, Semester 2 — while completing core and elective units in Year 1.
