Yes. The Bachelor of Laws satisfies the academic requirements to become an Australian Lawyer, as required by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB). In order to become an Australian Lawyer, you will also need to complete Practical Legal Training or an equivalent.
While studying the compulsory academic requirements to practise law, students become work-ready through authentic experiences with public-sector authorities such as the Magistrates' Courts and private law firms. Practical learning includes advising clients, resolving disputes, mediation, and using principled persuasion. Students may also take part in the renowned moot program and gain experience through Supreme Court and County Court internship programs. Placement opportunities are offered at Victoria Police, Legal Aid, and Westjustice Sunshine Youth Office, among many others.
For eligible students, this course is offered as a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), with indicative fees of AU$17,399 per year for a full-time student in 2026. This fee is a guide only based on a typical full-time study load and does not include materials such as textbooks or the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). Students who are not eligible for a CSP will pay the full cost of each unit. HELP loans may be available to eligible students.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
