The Guaranteed Entry ATAR for this course is 80. You'll be guaranteed a place if you meet or exceed this score and meet course prerequisites. If your ATAR is below 80, you can still be offered a place as your ATAR may be adjusted based on subject adjustments, equity schemes or other factors.
There are two majors available: Business Analysis, which teaches you how to speak and interpret both business and tech languages and hone strategic thinking to identify business operational challenges and how data can predict opportunities and create solutions; and Cyber Security Management, which provides skills in cybersecurity, law, ethics, and data to lead secure, tech-driven projects and help organisations manage cyber risks, compliance, and strategic innovation.
The course takes 5 years full-time or equivalent part-time. It is offered at the Hawthorn campus with intakes in both Semester 1 and Semester 2.
International students must satisfy one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0, or Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall score of 70% and all skills at 65% or above, or equivalent measures as outlined on the English language requirements page.
Yes. Credit transfer is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course, with applicants assessed on a case-by-case basis. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available, allowing students to gain credit towards their course in recognition of skills and knowledge gained through work experience, life experience and/or formal training, also assessed on a case-by-case basis.
