Students can choose from six majors: Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Data Science, Games Development, Internet of Things, and Software Development. Each major has a specific set of units tailored to that specialisation.
The Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Computer Science is accredited by both the Australian Computer Society and the Victorian Legal Admissions Board, ensuring graduates meet professional standards in both fields.
Work Integrated Learning is a guaranteed part of the degree. You will complete law-related professional experience placements at organisations in Australia or overseas, and apply your learning in six project units related to computer science through professionally focused, industry-linked projects.
For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place, the 2026 yearly fee is approximately $13,467 AUD, with a total estimated fee of $67,335 AUD. The course takes 5 to 6 years to complete full-time, or equivalent part-time, and is available at the Hawthorn campus.
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Computer Science requires students to complete units of study to the value of 500 credit points, with all units valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated. The course includes 28 core units, major units, elective units, and placement units.
