In order to become an Australian Lawyer, you will also need to complete Practical Legal Training or an equivalent.
Students in any Bachelor of Laws may apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree once they have completed a minimum of 192 credit points and have attained an average mark of Distinction or above (70–100%). Applicants are assessed on the highest grades achieved in the top 12 Law units, and must also discuss their application with the unit convenor and a potential supervisor. Successful applicants will enrol in both Advanced Legal Research Methods and Advanced Legal Research Dissertation instead of 24 credit points of law electives.
Students gain authentic experiences with public-sector authorities such as the Magistrates' Courts and private law firms. Practical learning includes advising clients, resolving disputes, mediation, and using principled persuasion in simulated workplace environments. Students may also take part in the renowned moot program, and gain experience through Supreme Court and County Court internship programs. Placement opportunities are offered at Victoria Police, Legal Aid, and Westjustice Sunshine Youth Office, among many others.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
