To be eligible for academic entry, you need to meet requirements across three areas: an English subject (e.g. English Standard, Advanced, or Extension 1/2 at specified minimum bands), a Mathematics subject (e.g. Mathematics Standard 2, Advanced, or Extension 1/2 at specified minimum bands), and one additional Category A or Extension HSC subject at the required minimum band.
For HSC entry, you need a minimum of Band 6 in English Standard, English as an Additional Language or Dialect, or English Advanced. If you completed English Extension 1 or Extension 2, a minimum of E3 is required.
Accepted Mathematics subjects include Mathematics Standard 2 (minimum Band 5), Mathematics Advanced (minimum Band 5), Mathematics Extension 1 (minimum E2), and Mathematics Extension 2 (minimum E2).
Yes, in addition to the English and Mathematics requirements, you must also have achieved a minimum Band 5 in any other Category A HSC subject not already listed, or a minimum E2 in any other Extension subject not already listed.
