The University of Wollongong is located near the diverse NSW South Coast environment, which is an ideal location to undertake specialist marine training. This setting provides substantial fieldwork opportunities in addition to the extensive laboratory-based learning you will undertake during the degree.
The minimum score for guaranteed entry (or for consideration if this course has limited places) is a Selection Rank of 70. Your Selection Rank is your ATAR or IB Combined Rank plus any adjustments you are eligible to receive based on factors such as subjects studied, school location, or eligibility for equity and access schemes.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Marine Science can pursue careers including Aquaculture Technician/Manager, Coastal Oceanographer, Coastal or Marine Park Ranger, Environmental Advisor/Specialist, Hydrographic Surveyor, Marine Biologist, Marine Policy Advisor, Marine Support Officer, Research Scientist, Restoration Consultant, and Water Quality Scientist.
