There are six cognate majors available: Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics and Statistics, Data Science, Mathematical Modelling and Computation, and Discrete Mathematics and Algorithms.
Assessment will be multifaceted, including examinations, assignments, research papers, presentations, and peer reviews, all designed to test students' ability to critically analyse information, apply theoretical knowledge, and communicate solutions effectively.
The closing date for Semester 1 entry is 31 January of the commencing year, and for Semester 2 entry it is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Each cognate major in the degree culminates in a capstone unit, where students demonstrate their ability to work collectively to identify, investigate, and solve authentic problems.
