The Bachelor of Mathematics Advanced is an elite degree offering an accelerated program of studies to high-achieving students with a passion for mathematics. A unique feature is that students undertake supervised undergraduate research projects, enabling them to work closely with active academic researchers to develop independent learning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Advanced students are also invited to participate in networking and mentoring opportunities including summer research scholarships, corporate scholarships, and access to programs offered by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) ACE Network.
Students must have studied the equivalent of NSW HSC Mathematics Extension 2 to be admitted into this degree. The minimum Selection Rank for guaranteed entry is 95 (ATAR-SR), with an equivalent IBAS of 38.75. UOW also assumes students will have studied any two units of NSW HSC English, or equivalent. Selection Rank adjustments may apply based on subjects studied, school location, or equity and access scheme eligibility.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
