The double degree takes 4.5 years to complete full-time, or the part-time equivalent. UOW notes that a double degree provides a world-class qualification in less time and at less cost than studying the two degrees separately.
The minimum score for guaranteed entry is a Selection Rank of 75. Your Selection Rank is your ATAR or IB Combined Rank plus any adjustments you are eligible to receive. The equivalent IBAS score is 28.00.
Yes. Students must have studied the equivalent of NSW HSC Mathematics Standard 2 (minimum Band 2) to be admitted into this degree. It is also recommended that students have studied NSW HSC Mathematics Extension 1, or equivalent, and UOW assumes students will have studied any two units of NSW HSC English, or equivalent.
Yes. Graduates of the Bachelor of Mathematics are eligible to apply for individual accreditation with the Australian Mathematical Society, and the Bachelor of Computer Science is accredited by the Australian Computer Society.
The course is offered in Autumn 2026 (starting 2 March 2026) and Spring 2026. For Autumn 2026, the application deadlines are: UAC Early Bird by 30 September 2025, International students by 9 December 2025, Direct domestic applicants by 31 December 2025, and UAC final round by 29 January 2026.
