What is mechatronics? Mechatronics engineering involves the synergy of electrical, computer and mechanical technologies that lead to new solutions to industrial problems. Students study a diverse range of courses. You'll cover technical design, automation, and operational performance of electromechanical systems. Mechatronics engineers work in industries such as defence, advanced manufacturing, mining and health. Mathematics is fundamental to breakthrough engineering – and can open up new, complimentary fields like data mining, mathematical modelling, statistics and predictive analysis. Sarah, Taylor, Tom and Jackson featured have used our career-ready placement program to gain the practical workplace skills needed to start their careers after graduation. All engineering students complete 12 weeks of industrial experience during their degree. Through your work placement you’ll build important professional networks and put your learning into practice. You will complete a mathematics capstone project, working with industry on a real-world project. The program is accredited by Engineers Australia. Graduates of this program are able to join as graduate members on completion, and as student members during studies.
