After completing first year, students can choose between two specialisations: Social Media and Digital Content, which focuses on emerging communication technologies, digital graphic design, and cross-platform content creation preparing you for careers in social media management, content strategy, and digital marketing; or Public Relations, which equips you with skills in strategic communication, crisis management, and intercultural communication for careers in PR, strategic thinking, and managing organisational public relationships.
As part of your studies, Flinders will match you with an industry partner to gain 110 hours of real-world experience. You'll also have access to The Void (SA's largest motion-capture and virtual production studio), purpose-built studio spaces, editing suites and sound studios. The program also includes student-led agency work and industry collaborations in the later years.
Domestic students can gain guaranteed entry with an ATAR of 65.00. Alternative entry options include a STAT score of 150.0, a GPA of 4.0, a TAFE/VET Certificate IV or above, or via the Arts Diploma pathway. There are no prerequisites or assumed knowledge required for this course.
