Yes. The course holds professional accreditations from the Media Federation of Australia (MFA) and Communication Public Relations Australia (CPRA). The Public Relations major is specifically accredited by the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Media and Communication / Bachelor of Applied Innovation requires students to complete units of study to the value of 400 credit points. The course takes 4 years full-time or equivalent part-time, with all units valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
For 2026, the indicative yearly tuition fee for international students is AUD $40,850.00, with a total course fee of AUD $69,596.00. For domestic students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), the yearly fee is AUD $17,399.00. Fees are estimates only and subject to change. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of $373.00 also applies.
Yes. Work Integrated Learning is a guaranteed part of all Swinburne bachelor degrees, and this course includes an optional professional work placement component worth 100 credit points. This can include placements, internships or industry-linked projects. Students can also participate in hackathons, industry projects, and innovation sprints as part of their studies.
