Program accreditation The Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science has been accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists and is the only degree in Australia accredited by the internationally recognised Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) , supporting recognition of your degree in the UK and other Commonwealth countries. Professional recognition The Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) and the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) recognises graduates of this award. Attendance information This program is offered full-time and on-campus. If you commence in Trimester 2 you will be required to undertake compulsory study in Trimester 3 in the first year of the program. If you are an International student on a student visa, you must ensure that you enrol in a way that will allow you to complete your enrolment within the expected program duration as stated on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). The recommended study load for international student in each compulsory trimester is 40CP. All students will undertake 560 hours of clinical placement in the fourth year of the program. As part of 4001MSC Clinical Placement I you will complete Enhancing Employability for Medical Laboratory Students and will earn a digital badge for your demonstrated knowledge of ISO15189 laboratory accreditation and total quality management in clinical laboratories.
