Common Questions
The course offers an accelerated program that completes all training in only 3.5 years, which is six months ahead of other diagnostic radiographer courses, allowing graduates to enter the job market earlier.
Students gain real world experience by participating in a variety of clinical placements throughout the course, including four 5-week blocks and two 13-week residencies. Placements occur across various local and/or national healthcare settings, including metro, regional, rural, large and small hospitals and private practice organisations. Prior to attending clinical placement, students spend time using medical imaging equipment in both simulated and controlled lab environments on campus.
Yes, this course is accredited with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) through the Medical Radiation Practice Accreditation Committee (MRPAC), the accreditation committee of the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA). Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
