About This Course

Whatever your medical career ambitions, UC's Bachelor of Medical Science provides a supportive pathway that opens the door to unlimited opportunities. From your first semester, you'll gain a strong foundation in the science behind medicine, human health and disease. You'll study key areas such as chemistry and biology at the molecular, cellular, organ and whole-organism level, while building hands-on skills in our modern laboratories. With smaller class sizes and direct support from expert academics, you'll also develop the professional skills and confidence to prepare you for the real world. As you progress, you'll explore contemporary issues in health and disease through research projects and work-integrated learning. Alongside the core science major, you'll also complete two specialist majors in pathology and genetics, giving you the in-depth expertise to navigate the fast-paced and evolving medical science industry.
