This program is available to undergraduate/graduate medical and dental students from select international universities with an agreement with the University of Melbourne. To enrol, you'll need to meet the university's entry requirements. Note that this course is available to international students only.
You will explore how scientific discoveries and evidence support clinical practice, learning about the design, recording, and ethical reporting of clinical research. The course develops analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and the ability to critically evaluate and apply scientific evidence in clinical settings. By the end, you'll be proficient in using evidence-based knowledge and research skills to plan, implement, and evaluate clinical practices and research projects.
Applicants are required to meet an IELTS score of 7 with no individual bands less than 6.5.
The indicative first year fee for 2026 is AUD $64,032. As this course is available to international students only, fees are charged at the international student rate.
The Bachelor of Medical Science (Degree with Honours) is offered with intakes in January and July each year, and is completed in 1 year of full-time study at the Parkville campus.
