To be eligible for academic entry, you need to meet minimum band requirements in three subject areas: an English subject (e.g. English Standard, Advanced, or Extension) at Band 5 or E2; a Mathematics subject (e.g. Mathematics Standard 2, Advanced, or Extension) at Band 5 or E2; and two Science subjects at minimum Band 4 (or E2 for Extension Science subjects).
Yes, students who studied English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) can meet the English entry requirement by achieving a minimum Band 5 in that subject.
No, Extension Mathematics is not required. You can satisfy the mathematics entry requirement with Mathematics Standard 2 or Mathematics Advanced at a minimum Band 5, or with HSC Mathematics Extension 1 or Extension 2 at a minimum E2.
You need to have studied two Science subjects, each achieving at least Band 4, or two Science Extension subjects each achieving at least E2, as part of the academic entry requirements.
