Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Honours)

The Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery is available at two campuses: Townsville and Cairns, with intake commencing in February at both locations.

JCU offers the only undergraduate medicine degree in North Queensland, with a focus on equipping students to confidently diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions, with particular emphasis on rural and remote healthcare capabilities.

The degree offers diverse hands-on learning opportunities, including practical experience that prioritises capabilities in rural and remote settings, helping students develop patient centred and socially responsible practices.

Students will build foundational skills in clinical pathology and patient management, and will become equipped to confidently diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions while developing patient centred and socially responsible practices.

The intake for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery begins in February at both the Townsville and Cairns campuses.
