Yes. This degree is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as midwives.
You will gain hands-on experience in diverse settings throughout the degree. From Year 2 onwards, the program includes placement opportunities and industry connections, and in Year 3 you will also undertake an industry project, preparing you for a rewarding career in midwifery.
International students must meet the following English language requirements: IELTS overall 7.0 with a minimum of 7.0 in each of Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading; or Pearson overall 66. Additional entry requirements by country may also apply.
Graduates can pursue the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours), a one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) program that extends research skills, critical analysis, and project management. This allows specialisation in midwifery or other health disciplines. With further postgraduate study and work experience, career progression to roles such as endorsed midwife, midwifery educator, clinical midwife specialist, midwifery researcher, or director of midwifery services is possible.
For 2026, the annual indicative fees are $4,738 for Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) domestic students and $44,300 for full-fee paying (FFP) international students.
