Yes. You can choose to exit after three years with a Bachelor of Molecular Sciences (Advanced). However, note that the Advanced Bachelor Degree is available only as a Combined Bachelor's and Master's (CBM) exit award — it is not offered for direct enrolment and is not awarded on completion of the full CBM program.
In the final year of postgraduate study, you can specialise in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Genomics, Synthetic Biology, Environmental and Agricultural Biotechnology, or AQUAtech, in combination with skills in entrepreneurship and commercialisation.
This Combined Bachelor's and Master's (CBM) is a four-year accelerated program for those with an ATAR of 90 or above (Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) 2016 onwards).
Yes. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities are available to help bridge the gap between theory and practice. Students can undertake units such as SCIE2205 Science Work Placement Unit and SCIE2206 Science Consultancy Project to gain hands-on, practical, industry-relevant experience.
