You will develop skills to compose electroacoustic music, including sound art, digital music and computer music, and will complete core studies in compositional techniques and analysis, instrumentation and orchestration, music theory and aural training, and historical & cultural studies.
The Advanced Studies component allows you to specialise in a major from the University's shared pool (Table S), with areas including Architecture and Interaction Design, Arts and Social Sciences, Business and Commerce, Education and Social Work, Engineering and Computer Science, Health, Medicine and Dentistry, Music, and Science, Agriculture, Environment and Veterinary Science.
Yes, applicants are required to read about the undergraduate pre-admission and audition requirements on the Sydney Conservatorium of Music website and register an audition with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as part of the application process.
If you would like to study honours and meet the relevant admissions requirements, you will be able to apply for an appended honours degree after completing four years of undergraduate study.
Domestic and international applications close on 18 September for Semester 1. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
