Specialisations include classical performance, jazz performance, contemporary music, composition, screen composition, music technology, or musicology.

For Edith Cowan University students, an audition/submission of a folio of original creative works/interview is not required. However, applicants must have completed three years of a four-year Bachelor of Music (including all core units) and are normally expected to have maintained a course Weighted Average Mark of 70 or over, plus marks of 70 or over in all Principal Studies units and Music History units.

For domestic students, the estimated 1st year indicative fee is AUD $9,550 (Commonwealth supported). For international students, the estimated 1st year indicative fee is AUD $40,650. These are provided as a guide only, as students pay for individual units rather than an overall course fee.
