Course Overview
class="m-0 section-title__container anchorname" id="overview"> Overview Develop a holistic view of the music industry across production, business, performance, culture and ethics. See how it all connects. The music industry is how artists get heard, how technology enables new forms of expression, how policy shapes what's possible and how ethics guide decision-making. It's an ecosystem shaped by streaming, AI, globalisation and changing listener behaviour. The Bachelor of Music Industry prepares you to understand and work across this landscape. Develop broad knowledge of production, business, performance, culture and ethical issues in the sector, seeing how they connect and intersect. This foundation gives you flexibility as you progress through the degree. You can choose to deepen your knowledge in specific areas through majors in Pop Culture or Cinema Studies, or develop breadth across multiple areas through minors. You'll study in Melbourne, Australia's music capital, in the heart of a thriving music city. Your learning combines lectures, tutorials and studio classes with direct engagement with the industry around you. The degree emphasises popular music studies and music history alongside production and business knowledge. Live venues, recording studios, festivals and industry professionals are all around you. You'll develop your understanding through classroom learning alongside experiencing the city's music scenes. The ambitions that I carried throughout my undergraduate years were always supported by the staff, who would go above and beyond, and still do, to assist me with anything from references, to editing, to job opportunities. - Hayden Ryan, Bachelor of Arts (Music Industry) graduate and Yuin man from Narooma

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
