Module – Performance 1 & Acting Specialisation Module

Students develop acting skills through group instruction in masterclasses, workshops, seminars, experiencing core principles and skills of contemporary acting technique(s) and positioning acting within a socio-cultural context.

Introduction to Higher Education Studies

Introduces students to communication, academic integrity, presentation, and self-directed learning at a tertiary level, developing academic writing and spoken presentation skills including essay technique, referencing, and scholarly research practices.

Arts meets Commerce: an overview of the Arts and Entertainment Industry

Provides a broad and holistic overview of the Music Business, investigating numerous sectors of the business, exploring the history, function, role, and key activities of each.

Module – Performance 2 & Acting Specialisation Module 2

Allows students to further develop vocal performance skills, growing in technical and expressive fluency through both private instruction and a weekly Performance Practice class.

Performance Skills 1 – The Singing Actor 1

Provides opportunities for students to solidify their acting skills and vocal/singing technique through individual lessons, masterclasses, workshops and seminars, performing the core principles of contemporary acting.

Dance 1

Provides opportunities for students to develop skills that engage dance as a tool of expression, increasing co-ordination and rhythm and developing impulse and spontaneity work, with stylistically specific Music Theatre genres choreography.

Collaboration Project 3 Industry Studies

An industry focussed collaborative project focusing on the collaborative process of formal rehearsals for a public season of a music theatre work under professional direction.

Performance Skills 3 – The Singing Actor 3

Provides opportunities for students to solidify their acting skills and vocal/singing technique through individual lessons, masterclasses, workshops, and seminars, building upon BMTPS2.

Performance Skills 4 – The Singing Actor 4

Provides opportunities for students to affirm their acting skills and vocal/singing technique through individual lessons, masterclasses, workshops, and seminars, building upon BMTPS3.
