The program fee is $35,000 AUD per year for international students and $26,400 AUD per year for domestic students. FEE-HELP is available for eligible Australian citizens looking to study a Bachelor degree through the Australian government's Study Assist scheme.
Applicants must submit four video recordings: Video 1 is a dance routine of 1–2 minutes demonstrating ability in styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern, Latin or musical theatre; Video 2 consists of two Musical Theatre songs of 2–3 minutes each demonstrating contrast in style, mood, or vocal technique with movement and characterisation; Video 3 is a monologue no longer than 2 minutes from APAC's provided list, performed without a script; and Video 4 is a personal statement of 1–2 minutes covering the applicant's background, inspiration for pursuing Musical Theatre, favourite performer or Musical, and training journey and goals.
Graduates can pursue roles including music theatre performer, concert soloist, choreographer, director, arts administrator, community theatre director, casting consultant/agent, stage manager, teacher (voice, dance or acting), scriptwriter or lyricist, film/TV actor, entertainment entrepreneur, producer, and event manager. The course also prepares graduates for careers in film and television, radio, broadcasting, commercials and promotional work.
Applications are accepted anytime. The Bachelor of Musical Theatre has three intakes per year: Trimester 1 in January, Trimester 2 in May, and Trimester 3 in September.
APAC offers a range of support services including enrolment support, mental health and wellbeing support through a qualified on-campus psychologist and the Student Assistance Program (AccessEAP) providing up to three hours of free counselling per academic year, disability and accessibility support, First Nations student support, academic progression and English language support, careers and employability guidance including exclusive access to Brock Casting Services, and assistance with student accommodation in and around Brisbane.
