The Bachelor of Networking and Telecommunications is 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time for domestic students. For international students, the CRICOS-registered duration is 156 weeks (3 years) of full-time study across 6 semesters. Note that part-time mode is not available to holders of a student visa who are not Australian citizens, permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or Australian permanent/temporary residents.
If you complete the 8 100-level units with the Institute (either at the Institute or with Advanced Standing not exceeding 4 of the 100-level units), you will be eligible to obtain the Diploma of Networking Telecommunications (DipNT). To obtain the full Bachelor of Networking and Telecommunications (BNeT), candidates are required to successfully complete all 24 units, with a minimum of 12 units (50%) completed at the Institute.
The course is delivered at four campuses: Level 16 / 233 Castlereagh St, Sydney NSW 2000; 107 George St, Parramatta NSW 2150; Level 1 / 237 Ryrie St, Geelong VIC 3220; and 363 King St, West Melbourne VIC 3003. Delivery is blended, meaning it is delivered partially on campus and partially online.
International applicants must meet one of the following English language proficiency requirements: IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL 575 or better; TOEFL IBT 91 or better; TOEFL CBT 235 or better; Academic PTE 50 or better; Cambridge English CAE and CPE (from 2015) 176 or better; GCE A Levels with a C or better in English; KITE all bands B2 with a result greater than 450 in each band; or Duolingo overall 115 with no band less than 110. English Language Test results are valid for two years from the date of the results up to the date of commencement at the Institute.
The Institute uses authentic assessment principles that may include practical exercises, case studies, presentations, reports, online simulations, essays, and examinations. These assessments may include being done under invigilation.
