Common Questions
Throughout the course, you'll complete five clinical placements totalling 800 hours. In Year 1, you complete one placement of 120 hours (approximately three weeks); in Year 2, two placements each of 120 hours (approximately three weeks each); and in Year 3, two placements of 200 hours (approximately five weeks) and 240 hours (approximately six weeks) respectively. Placements are sourced as locally as possible to where you are studying; however, this is not always possible, and you may be required to travel.
As an online student, you are required to attend seven residential schools — two in the first year, three in the second year, and two in the third year — as well as six clinical placement blocks. Residential schools are held on campus in Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay, Rockhampton, Townsville, Hamilton Base Hospital in Victoria (for Western District Health Service arrangement students), Port Hedland in Western Australia (for Pilbara University Centre students), and Port Pirie in South Australia (for Uni Hub Spencer Gulf – Port Pirie arrangement students). If you live outside of these locations, you may need to travel to Queensland to complete your residential schools.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
