Bachelor of Nursing / Bachelor of Business Administration

The Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Business Administration, which ACU abbreviates as BN/BBA, is a dual award of 350 credit points with a minimum duration of four years full-time or the equivalent part-time. ACU's 2025 handbook lists Brisbane, Melbourne and North Sydney as the approved locations for the course. The completion requirements divide the program in three. Two hundred and ten credit points come from nursing units, made up of 60 credit points of interdisciplinary learning units, 90 credit points of nursing theory units and 60 credit points of clinical nursing practice units. A further 120 credit points come from business administration units: 110 credit points of specified business administration units and 10 credit points of business administration electives. The remaining 20 credit points are drawn from ACU's university Core Curriculum units. Units listed in the schedule include BIOL121 Human Biological Science 1, BIOL122 Human Biological Science 2, HLSC111 The Person, Health and Wellbeing, HLSC120 Indigenous Health and Culture, HLSC122 Evidence for Practice, HLSC220 Health Care Ethics, NRSG138 Transition into Nursing, NRSG258 Principles of Nursing: Surgical, NRSG263 Principles of Nursing Mental Health, NRSG265 Principles of Nursing: Medical, NRSG266 Principles of Nursing: Contexts of Ageing and NRSG371 Building Healthy Communities. Students normally complete introductory 100-level units in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced 200 or 300-level units. ACU states that unit prerequisites have been minimised to assist progression, and that prerequisites preclude students from enrolling in units where foundational knowledge is insufficient.
