The Bachelor of Human Services offers three specialisation areas: Human Behaviour; Family Support and Child Protection; and Youth Work. Students choose 8 specialisation units comprising 4 discipline-specific units and 4 units in either a practicum stream or a coursework stream.
Yes. In the practicum stream, students take part in placements during their second and third years, providing real-world experience, confidence, and professional connections. CHC also offers the opportunity to complete an overseas placement, providing global insight into human services practice.
The course consists of 24 units in total — 16 core units and 8 specialisation units. The core units include 2 Christian Studies units and 14 Professional Studies units, while the specialisation units consist of 4 discipline-specific units and 4 units in either a practicum or coursework stream.
The course fee is $18,480. Note that the fees listed are for 2024; fees for 2025 are to be advised. Students are encouraged to explore study fee options directly with CHC.
