Yes. This course is accredited with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). The program is designed to transition university graduates into becoming qualified ambulance paramedics who will register with the Paramedicine Board of Australia. Those registered with the PBA are also able to work in the United Kingdom as a registered paramedic.
The Bachelor of Paramedicine includes three units of clinical placements (Work Integrated Learning). These include placements with St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc., the Northern Territory's exclusive paramedic service provider, as well as a range of other community-based healthcare settings. The course offers guaranteed clinical student placements in the Northern Territory.
Yes. Compulsory intensives on campus are a requirement of this course. Several units include a 1-week on-campus simulation block, specifically: SBI111, SBI270, SBI273, SBI274, SBI276, SBI300, SBI301, and SBI332. Students are also required to attend clinical placement hours as allocated by the CDU Placement Office.
If you are undertaking clinical or fieldwork placements, you must demonstrate compliance with the following: a national and/or international police check, a current Working with Children check, necessary vaccinations to protect students and the public, and you must be able to meet all inherent requirements and fitness to practice requirements as outlined on the paramedicine web page.
The annual tuition fee for full-time study in 2026 is AUD $35,584.00, which equates to $4,448.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL). These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year. CDU also offers a number of scholarships to international students to assist with the cost of study.
