No. The Bachelor of Performance (Directing) at Flinders University is Australia's only named undergraduate directing degree, offering a unique and specialised pathway for those wishing to train as a director and develop their artistic voice.
In addition to your application, you must submit a supporting statement responding to why you wish to study the course, a Curriculum Vitae including details of publications, performance, work history, training or other experience relevant to your application, and a recent photograph or headshot. You will also be required to attend an audition (and if applicable, a call-back audition) held at Flinders University Drama Centre, Bedford Park, South Australia, from Monday 8 – Friday 12 December 2025.
For 2026, the annual indicative fees are $10,520 for Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) domestic students and $35,500 for Full Fee Paying (FFP) international students.
Graduates can pursue careers as theatre directors (typical salary $73K), playwrights (typical salary $111K), screenwriters, stage managers, and producers, among other roles.
