Program accreditation The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) is accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council (APC) . Professional recognition Graduates of this program will be eligible to apply for provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) subject to meeting any additional requirements that may be stipulated by the Pharmacy Board of Australia. As these requirements may change from time to time, students should contact Ahpra to confirm registration requirements. Attendance information This program is offered full-time on-campus. As a full-time student you will generally attend 22-24 hours of scheduled classes per week throughout the trimester. Classes may be scheduled during the day and evening throughout the week. Trimester 2 Intake If you commence in Trimester 2 you will be required to undertake compulsory study in Trimester 3 in the first year of the program. If you are an International student on a student visa, you must ensure that you enrol in a way that will allow you to complete your enrolment within the expected program duration as stated on your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). The recommended study load for international student in each compulsory trimester is 40CP. Managing Study Interruptions Leave of Absence Taking a leave of absence from this program is permitted, subject to conditions outlined in the Enrolment Procedure . Work-integrated learning Work-integrated learning activities (professional placements) integrate theoretical learning with its application in the workplace. The inclusion of work-integrated learning activities in the degree program demonstrates Griffith's commitment to preparing its graduates for success in their working life. In Year 3, you are required to undertake unpaid placements which require full-time attendance at a pharmacy workplace for a four week block. Some placements may be located outside the Gold Coast area and include the opportunity to undertake a rural placement. Opportunities to undertake international placements, in addition to mandatory placements, may be available. Total work placement (hours): 150. Pathways to further study Graduates of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) may have the opportunity to undertake higher degree research studies via the Master of Health and Medical Research (5763) , Master of Philosophy (5001) or Doctor of Philosophy (6001) .
