Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)

International:

• Minimum age: applicants must be 18 years of age by the start of the second year of the course to meet mandatory requirements for clinical placements; underage applicants who cannot meet this requirement are not eligible for an offer.
• Academic: minimum an Australian Year 12 qualification (or equivalent); for the Global region, an ATAR of 92.5 (or equivalent) is the standard published academic entry score. Places are limited and competitive.
• English entry requirements (Level C): overall score 7.0 for IELTS (Academic), with minimum band scores: Listening 6.5, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.5 and Speaking 6.5 (or equivalent approved English test scores).
• Prerequisite subjects: English (VCE Units 3&4 score 35 for EAL or 30 for Other English, or IB equivalents — a higher score than most other Monash courses); Science (VCE Units 3&4, two of Biology/Chemistry/Mathematical Methods/Specialist Mathematics/Physics at score 25, or IB equivalents); no Mathematics-specific prerequisite beyond the Science group options.
• Work component is required: 30 hours/week for 30 weeks (900 hours total, clinical placements).

Domestic:

• Selection is ATAR-based (Peninsula) and highly competitive: 2026 lowest selection rank to which an offer was made was 93; lowest ATAR to which an offer was made in 2026 was 91.30 (Monash Guarantee conditions apply); the Monash Guarantee threshold for 2026 entry is 93.
• Full Time only; same age (18 by start of second year), English and Science prerequisite subjects apply as for international students; no English-language test required for domestic students.
