The Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine is a four‑year degree designed to build strong clinical confidence through extensive, hands‑on experience. Guided by experienced podiatrists, you’ll develop practical, patient‑facing skills in diagnosing, treating, and preventing foot and lower limb conditions. You’ll also help prevent related issues such as back and joint pain caused by changes in posture, walking, and running. Specialist clinic areas include sports injuries, biomechanics, paediatrics, surgery, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply for the endorsed scheduled medicines pathway. This will prepare you for advanced clinical responsibilities, including administering medicines as part of patient care. We offer a guaranteed entry pathway into this degree for those who have completed the HLT43021 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance course. For more information, visit Guaranteed Entry. Students taking the option for scheduled medicine will take part in a special clinical program in year 4 designed to develop skills for registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia. There is an option for high-achieving students to embed honours-level research courses over the final 1.5 years of the program.
