You will study subjects drawn from Law, Politics, Economics, and Philosophy, encompassing subjects from the Faculty of Law, Bond Business School, and the Faculty of Society & Design. In your first year, you will be introduced to foundational subject matter within the Legal, International Relations, Philosophy, Politics and Economics study areas, as well as developing interpersonal and employability skills through Bond's core subjects and Beyond Bond program. In your second year, you will delve deeper into contemporary issues, political and cultural aspects of Australian diplomacy and foreign policy, and select from general electives.
The program takes 2 years (6 semesters) to complete and is delivered on-campus at Bond University's Gold Coast Campus.
Yes, the program offers the flexibility of choosing up to five elective subjects. You can delve into a particular study area across any of Bond's faculties to supplement your knowledge with subjects in an area that interests you. You are also encouraged to take an internship as a general elective in your second year.
According to student Amber Gleeson-Watt, unlike many similar degrees at other universities which have a narrow focus on Australian circumstances, Bond's program takes a global view and is intentionally broad, taught through a global lens, ensuring students have a qualification that will allow them to adapt with a changing world and bring great value to workplaces in Australia and abroad. It is also uniquely multi-disciplinary, combining Law, Business, and Society & Design faculties in one degree.
