Students can choose from the following specialist majors for the Communication and Media component: Journalism, Sports Media, Media Production, Public Relations and Strategic Communication, Social Media and Content Creation, and Marketing Communication. The award name for the Communication & Media part of the course is determined by the choice of major, e.g. Specialist Major in Journalism leads to the award 'Bachelor of Communication & Media (Journalism)'.
An IELTS Academic score of 6.0 overall, with no band score below 6.0 (or equivalent) is required for both domestic and international students.
The course is delivered on campus at Bruce, Canberra. New admissions are open for Semester 2, 2026 (starting 10 August 2026), Semester 1, 2027 (starting 15 February 2027), and Semester 2, 2027 (starting 09 August 2027), for both domestic and international students.
