Yes. Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health students are ranked based on CASPer scores, with a guaranteed interview offered to the top 15 ranked students in both the Rural and General entry pathways. Applicants must meet all minimum entry requirements and list UOW as their first preference school in their GEMSAS application. See the Doctor of Medicine page for more information.
Students can choose to specialise in either Biomolecular Medicine or Medical Physiology as part of the Bachelor of Pre-Medicine, Science and Health.
You will gain foundational knowledge and skills in health and science through course subjects in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, public health and medical ethics. Lectures, tutorials, and hands-on practical sessions are an integral component of the teaching across the degree.
Domestic students must apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). The UAC Code for this course is 757500. If you are a current or recent high school student, you can also apply for Early Admission via the UOW Early Admission website during the designated period, usually June–August each year. The UAC Early Bird deadline for Autumn 2026 is 30 September 2025, and the final round deadline is 30 January 2026.
Yes. High-achieving students from all backgrounds, especially Indigenous and rural students, are strongly encouraged to apply. UOW's Woolyungah Indigenous Centre's Indigenous Admissions Program (IAP) offers an alternative pathway for Indigenous Australians aged 17 and over seeking entry into an undergraduate course. Additionally, the Doctor of Medicine entry pathway includes a Rural entry pathway for eligible students.
